Surgical Masks Needed to Fight the Coronavirus

As you know there is a shortage of surgical masks at the local hospitals and nursing homes.

What can be done to help?

  • Cam and Sue Snyder along with Stephanie Rose have begun putting the pieces in place to mass produce packets of pre-cut materials for masks which you can make at home.

If you are interested here are your instructions:

  • Pick Up packets of pre-cut material, pattern and instructions at Chubby Trout.  Packets will be placed in zip lock bags and placed outside of Chubby Trout.
  • Wash the material when you get home.
  • Sew the mask at home.
  • Drop Off the completed mask or masks at Chubby Trout.

If you can’t get to Chubby Trout, drop off your mask or masks in designated drop boxes outside the following sites:

  • Ryan and Amy Matherly’s home 26048 North Shore Drive
  • Dave and Carole Foutz’s home 26109 Lake Drive

IF YOU CANNOT HELP WITH THE MAKING OF THE MASKS, YOU CAN DONATE TOWARDS THE COSTS OF THE MATERIALS!

Donations can be made with cash or a check.

Because the virus is so contagious, there is little we can do to help other than stay put so that we don’t catch or spread the virus.  But here is something we can do.

We want to extend a Simonton Lake Thanks to the organizers of this project. NOW LET’S GET BUSY!!!!!
