Environment

One of four standing committees for the Lake Association, this committee deals with: water quality, water clarity,, invasive species, and general ecological balance of the lake and watershed. The issues of sediment removal from the lake, control of invasive weeds, erosion and drainage are now legally the concerns of the Simonton Lake Conservancy District which uses tax dollars to fund the remediation of these issues.  However, the Environment Committee regularly communicates environmental issues to the SLCD Board.
