The Simonton Lake Conservancy Board has paid for a new floating sign at our Ecozone in the southeastern corner of Little Simonton. Hopefully, this sign helps to cut down on boaters going into the zone. The sign was placed in August 2021.

Reminders written on this sign:

Only non-motorized watercraft and trolling motors are allowed inside the ecozone
AND there is no anchoring.

This is an area now protected by the Indiana DNR. Violators will be ticketed.

This ecozone functions as a natural water filter for our lake. It costs us nothing to run (except for the buoys) and keeps our water quality one of the highest in the State of Indiana.
