The Membership year of the Lake Association goes from June 1 to May 31st. 

Dues reminders have been mailed out.

Why Join? The Lake Association’s power to help our neighborhood and protect our lake is based on membership.  Your dues helps us with these projects and programs:

  • We promote Lake Safety and buoy placement and removal.
  • We educate our residents on boating laws, pier regulations and water quality issues.
  • Our efforts influenced the Indiana DNR to make significant improvements at the landing
  • The Simonton Lake Preservation Trust successfully raised money to acquire additional buoys
  • Then worked with the Association Safety Committee to select buoys and coordinate placement.
  • We initiated and operate “Lake Alerts” via our lake resident e-mail list, our website and our Facebook page alerting residents to crime, vandalism, etc.
  • We actively promoted SR 19 traffic modification for safety.
  • We pushed the Weir project to completion (a 20 year battle) which will stabilize lake levels.
  • We completed part of the sediment removal project in 2016 and will complete the project in the fall of this year.
  • We established an Eco-Zone which improves water clarity and lake health.
  • We have raised nearly $950,000 to date and invested every penny into our lake.
  • Our Newsletter is a model for other Associations and recognized throughout the State. 
  • We produce an annual Lake Calendar.
  • We sponsor an annual all-lake garage sale.
  • We are leading the charge against invasive weeds which threaten the ecology of our lake.
  • The Association spearheaded amending the Conservancy purposes as a means to fund the Lake's health and future community needs.
